Beginning.. again!

I started the journey to Kazakhstan in the summer of 2007. I attended a meeting of an adoption agency to learn more about how to adopt a child internationally. Almost as if struck by lightning, Kazakhstan jumped out at me . I had heard that the children from this country were well cared for and that the orphanages were well run.

I submitted an application to my agency in September 07 and thus began the journey!

I had my dossier completed and had just submitted in June of 08, when the word came down from the agency that the consulate was stopping acceptance of dossiers until all agencies that participated with adoption from Kazakhstan could be approved. Seems there was a huge influx of folks wanting to adopt from Kaz and the process needed some adjustment.

So.. now.. here we are , in October of 2009. I have redone all of my paperwork, including a homestudy update twice! I am set to submit my dossier to my agency by Nov2. It is very exciting now .. for so long, I have had the question.."IF it happens"... now I am starting to get comfortable with "WHEN it happens!"
